The Art and
Soul Bed and Breakfast - a peaceful 5 acre haven and a place to
call home while you explore the surrounding splendors of
Vancouver Island. Conveniently located between Nanaimo
and Parksville, our relaxing retreat is 5 kilometers
off the freeway. Here you will enjoy views of the Georgia
Strait, several islands and the Coast Mountains.
We are on the Georgia Strait side of Vancouver Island - where you will be swept away by the beauty of the sea, sky, coastal mountains and mild temperate climate. Average annual precipitation in the Nanoose Bay region is about 35 inches. Our climate is similar to that of Victoria, but with less wind. There are flowers in bloom throughout the year at our B & B, and even the occasional winter snowfall doesn't deter the hardy ones. |

Within a ten minute drive there are numerous recreational facilities, including Fairwinds Golf Course. You can hike, bike, golf, ride horses, beach-comb, swim, scuba dive, sail and more - or simply sit back and relax. There are various attractions, unique boutiques and several dining establishments nearby. There are over 225 species of birds for bird watching. Much of our 5 acre property blends in with the surrounding forest, a haven for birds and wildlife. You may see a tiny hummingbird gathering nectar, majestic eagles soaring above and a great variety of songbirds and woodpeckers dining at the feeders. Hosts Betty and Bob have resided in Nanoose Bay since 1973. Their knowledge of Vancouver Island attractions and special places will help make your vacation stay memorable. |
